As indicated by the organization of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2015, the sides that top the two gatherings will consequently fit the bill for the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016, while the sides that complete second and third in each of the two gatherings will play cross-over matches with the two victors joining the table-toppers for the India competition.
The 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, for the 2016 World Twenty20, is presently being held from 6 to 26 July 2015. The competition is being facilitated by both Ireland and Scotland. The competition frames a piece of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier arrangement. 51 matches will be played among 14 countries, down from 72 matches among 16 countries beforehand.
Matches where both teams have T20I status will be recorded as a Twenty20 International match. The teams in this competition with this status are Scotland, Ireland, Netherlands, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Nepal and Papua New Guinea. Matches which include maybe a couple teams without T20I status will just recorded as a Twenty20 match.
